October 29-30 will be ACDA-Michigan’s annual Fall Conference at Central Michigan University.  The exciting headliner clinicians will include Jerry Blackstone from the University of Michigan, Tim Sharp, Executive Director of ACDA and special guest Charlene Archibeque Professor Emeritus and Acting Professor at San Jose State University.  

Dr. Blackstone, one of the premier conducting teachers in the nation will lead a Graduate Conducting Seminar and will also address the conference on the topic “I Wish I Would Have Known…”.  His Interest Session will focus on working with mens’ voices.

Dr. Sharp will lead the attendees in an interactive session focusing on “The 21st Century ACDA-Technology, Communication & Other Resources”.  In addition, he will be the clinician for the Undergraduate Conducting Seminar and will also present an Interest Session “Teaching Your Choir to Watch, Listen & Think Chorally”.

Dr. Archebeque, know widely as a “teacher of teachers” will present two Interest Sessions entitled “The Doctor is In – Quick Rehearsal Fixes” and “Vocal Warm-ups”.  Other Interest Sessions will feature Julie Skadsem (University of Michigan) and Richard Ingram (Choristers Guild).
